British and Australian singer and actress, Olivia Newton-John, She died this Monday at the age of 73 on her ranch in southern California (USA), as confirmed by her husband John Easterling.
According to Easterling, Newton-John passed away “surrounded by family and friends”. “We ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the singer’s husband said in a social media post.

Newton-John had a prolific career as a film and television actress, in addition to releasing more than 20 albums as a singer.
In addition, the woman born in Cambridge (United Kingdom) acted in 15 films. The most memorable film in which she participated was ‘Grease’ (1978) with John Travolta , where she played the character of Sandy Olsson .
Upon hearing the sad news, Travolta himself dedicated a farewell message to his partner in the remembered film: “My dearest Olivia, you made our lives much better. Your impact was incredible , “said the 68-year-old actor on his social networks.

Fight against cancer
In 1992, Olivia Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer, but was able to control the disease with treatment. However, she was hospitalized again in 2013 and they managed to stop him, but the ailment resurfaced in 2017.
“Olivia has been a symbol of triumph and hope for more than 30 years, sharing her journey with breast cancer publicly.Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine will continue with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation, dedicated to plant medicine and cancer research. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donation be made in his memory to the Foundation,” the family statement said.
