A young man drowned in Turkey while trying to imitate a scene from the classic movie ‘Titanic‘ with his girlfriend. The couple was drinking alcohol at the time of the accident, so they took the bad idea to stand on the edge of the dock.
Furkan Ciftci and his girlfriend Mine Dinar, both 23 years old, they tried to imitate the scene in which Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have their arms outstretched on the boat, however, they lost their balance and both fell into the sea.
A group of fishermen who were near the place managed to see both young men fall and ran to help him, but they only managed to rescue the woman, who managed to hold on and did not fall from all into the water, while her boyfriend drowned in the waves.
A rescue team arrived at the scene to find Furkan, however, they found his lifeless body two hours after the accident. Meanwhile, Kate was taken to the hospital for treatment.
In her statement to the police, the 23-year-old said that after drinking alcohol they thought it would be a good idea to get behind the chains on the dock and do the ‘Titanic pose’.
